Rethinking my blog

A few years ago, I started to write about Single Board Computers. I wanted to showcase how to build networks and cool stuff on these systems. But this came with a couple of issues. I used the wrong SBCs, because I ordered them and wanted to sell them to fund the blog. The SBCs had real hardware issues. Building on one SBC caused different issues than building on another board, even the same type, from the same manufacturer and the same batch. So I struggled along and lost a lot of time on the way. In the meantime I had started a DevOps career, and AI came along. My idea of giving the users who buy my products a guideline to learn something about servers and networking ended there.

My passion

But I still feel that I want to write a blog. My main income is generated through freelance jobs, but I'm still trying to build my own company and a small datacenter in my own country. And even if this may sound ridiculous to some, I really want to build cheap, independent datacenters for people who want control over their own data. This isn't an easy or straightforward challenge, but it is what I've been trying to accomplish for a few years now. So why not go public and give you some insights? Some to think about, some to laugh at, and some to challenge me.

So let's start this.
